Thanksgiving Dinner 2023

Join us for a free Thanksgiving Dinner! In past years, this has been a wonderful time of connection with a festive atmosphere and good, home-cooked food.

This is organized as a VERY large potluck, and it takes a lot of people to help cook and bring food to share with many in our neighborhood who (like the church facility) do not have a kitchen. If you are able to help cook and bring food, please email Pastor Chris to get the google sign-up sheet and let us know what you can bring. We will have some food items (i.e. turkeys) that you can pick up from church, cook, and bring back to share. Thank you!

  1. We attend Harbor City Church and our pastor mentioned a volunteer opportunity at your church around Thanksgiving. We would love to come help. I tried to use the sign up but couldn’t input any information. There are 5 of us: Scott Cauble, Nancy Cauble, Seth Cauble, Betsy Bobenmoyer, and Ed Hamilton. We can also bring food: mashed potatoes, bread rolls, and pies. We’d prefer to help set up and serve between 2 and 5 pm. But let us know when you need help and if you need other food items.

    • Thank you, Nancy! I see your names on the sheet, so it looks like you were able to get it to work. We are grateful for Harbor City’s partnership – looking forward to seeing you all next month!

      • Hello and good afternoon,
We read about your Thanksgiving Dinner and all the volunteers. My husband Mark and I, Christine, would like to come and help with setup or cooking, preferably from 2 to 5.pm.
Would you still need some helping hands?
        Best regards,
        Please email me: Christine.urban@hotmail.de

  2. I just wanted to let you know that my sister and dad (Betsy and Ed) won’t be able to make it after all. But the rest of us plant to come help. We’ll also bring potatoes, rolls, and a pie.

    • Thank you for the update – we’ll look forward to seeing you on Saturday (the ones who are still able to make it)!
