A new work of God in San Diego's East Village

John was born in Iowa and eventually joined the Navy where he worked as a Quartermaster, navigating ships, which brought him to San Diego in 1964.  After ten years in the Navy, John got out and got sober.  He has been working his recovery for many years.  John says that his mother promised him to the Lord when he was born, and as much as John tried to get away from God, he eventually realized that he couldn’t.  He was baptized in Julian, CA and he has lived in East Village for two and a half years.
